Give STL Day, May 1, 2019, is a 24-hour, online day-of-giving event, designed to ignite the spirit of giving across the region and support the causes in the St. Louis area where we live, work and play. Since inception in 2014, Give STL has raised more than $10 million for regional nonprofits in the St. Louis and surrounding areas.
For our many friends and supporters who believe in our mission at A Seat at the Table (“helping under-resourced 18 to 25-year olds better transition into adulthood by providing parental presence and community support via residential mentoring in a family environment”), the good news is that you don’t have to wait until May 1 to donate. You can schedule your May 1 donation by clicking HERE! Look for more Give STL updates here on our website and our various A Seat at the Table platforms between now and May 1. Thank you for your support! On April 1, 2019, A Seat at the Table joined other nonprofit organizations in exhibiting at the first One Future: STL conference held at The Crossing church in Chesterfield. The conference involved pastors, ministry leaders, and church staff from across the St. Louis region gathering together to pursue unity, celebrate diversity, and spark conversations.
We are grateful to event organizers for inviting A Seat at the Table and other nonprofits to exhibit and share our respective missions with conference attendees. A special shout out to three of our A Seat at the Table board members: to Kerry Morgan and Gina Birkemeier for staffing the exhibit table…and to Pastor David Hawkins for closing the conference with his challenging “You’re on the Clock” message! A Seat at the Table presents national recording artist, Liz Longley, Sunday, Feb. 17, 7:30 PM at ShowMe Cables in the Chesterfield Valley for its very first fund-raising event.
